Connor began shooting when he was just three years old, participating in his first BB gun at a Regional PPC match in Raton, New Mexico. At about six years old, he fired his first handgun and has had a gun in hand since he took his first steps.
When he was old enough to join 4-H, Connor took up shooting pellet gun pistols, and from there went on to the JROTC program in high school, competing in 3-postion air rifle all four years. He won the top shooter award in the region and became team captain, leading his team to win the state overall in 2011.
Connor began shooting long-range precision matches, 3-Gun, across the course and various handgun challenges starting at 15 and continuing to the present day.
Whether a toy gun or the real thing, constant exposure to firearms has helped to develop Connor's natural feel for guns and his attention to gun safety. These skills has served him well, and he's grateful for the teaching and training of his father, Michael and support from his mother, Frances.
The fundamentals learned early in life have transferred over into success in Connor's various shooting disciplines. By the example of his own parents, Connor frequently invites and helps train friends and family to get more involved in shooting sports.
